摘要：O presente artigo aborda o uso das imagens na educação. De caráter explanatório, desenvolve um histórico acerca dos referenciais teóricos sobre o tema, assim como faz digressões sobre como vivemos em uma sociedade marcada por símbolos imagéticos. O leque de reflexões faz parte da realização das atividades do recém-inaugurado "Laboratório de Produção e Análise de Imagens" (Lapi's) que o pesquisador coordena na Unilasalle-RJ. A proposta central é a de uma maior utilização das imagens em sala de aula para potencializar a explicação de conteúdos pedagógicos vai ao encontro de um aprendizado de maneira mais lúdica e prazerosa. As imagens fazem parte do cotidiano das pessoas, sendo portanto mais fácil de assimilar e recordar elementos que foram ensinados com o auxílio desse recurso, assim como, no campo da academia, ressignificar aspectos históricos a partir do uso de fontes alternativas. With an explanatory nature, it , develops a theoretical framework about the history on the subject,as does digressions about the way we live in a society marked by pictorial symbols . The range of reflections is part of the accomplishment of the newly opened “Laboratory of Production and Analysis of Images “ activities wich the researcher coordinates at the Unilasalle-RJ.The central proposalis the greater use of images in the classroom to enhance the explanation of educational content which leads to a fun and enjoyable way of learning.The images are part of everyday life, making it easier to assimilate and recall elements that were taught with the help of this resource, as well as , reframe the historical aspects from the use of alternatives sources in the field of academia.
