摘要：O termo Oncologia Integrativa (OI) foi criado a partir da medicina integrativa, que se diferencia das medicinas alternativa e complementarpor buscar resultados baseados em evidências e considerar o paciente em sua totalidade. O objetivo deste artigo é apresentar os resultados de uma revisão integrativa da literatura realizada no bancode dados PubMed-MEDLINE usando a expressão Integrative Oncology.Foram encontrados 74 estudos dos quais 26 foram incluídos e 48 excluídos pelos critérios de inclusão/exclusão. Os resultados mostram que as terapias integrativas têm sido aplicadas para aliviar os sintomas do câncer, os efeitos colaterais de seus tratamentos ou de alguns de seus procedimentos. Conclui-se que a OI é uma prática em construção e que está sendo implementada principalmente nos EUA, podendo-se identificar uma expansão do modelo de cuidado pluralista e integrativo.
其他摘要：The expression Integrative Oncology (IO) was derived from integrative medicine, which differentiates itself from alternative and complementary medicine in that it deals with evidence-based results and treats the patientas a comprehensive being. The purpose of this paper is to present the results of an integrative literature review carried out in the PubMed-MEDLINE, using the words Integrative Oncology. Seventy four studies were found of which 26 were included and 48 excluded, following the criteria of inclusion/exclusion. The results highlight the fact that integrative therapies are being applied for the relief of cancer symptoms, side effects of the conventional cancer treatment or its procedures. In conclusion, IO is a practice under construction being employed especially in the US and there is a pluralistic and integrative model of care under way.
