摘要：A influência da música no relacionamento diário das mães e bebês tem sido pesquisada por cientistas em todo o mundo. Sabe-se que as crianças preferem a voz materna, e estão mais atentas quando a fala ou o canto da mãe está sendo dirigida à elas. O objetivo deste trabalho é pesquisar e discutir a atual prática musical e a interação de mães e bebês. A presente pesquisa tem caráter experimental e foi desenvolvida mediante entrevistas semi-estruturadas com mães de bebês com idade de 18 meses a 4 anos. Alguns dos resultados sugerem que as mães não utilizam a música cantada prioritariamente nas atividades com eles, como sugerem as pesquisas feitas no Canadá ou Estados Unidos, mas incentivam seus filhos a ouvirem músicas através de CDs e televisão. As mães, freqüentemente, não cantam para bebês “mais velhos” dormirem, porém utilizam música em suas atividades diárias. A Musicalização Infantil é um fator importante no desenvolvimento dos bebês, principalmente no que diz respeito ao resgate do canto materno. Educando musicalmente pais e crianças, futuramente teremos bons ouvintes e apreciadores musicais. Palavras-chave: Mães; bebês; música; linguagem musical.
其他摘要：The role of music in the everyday life of mothers and infants has been studied by scientists throughout the world. It is well known that children prefer the maternal voice to other sounds, and are more attentive when speech or singing is directed to them. The purpose of this experimental study was to investigate and discuss current musical practices and interactions of mothers and babies, utilizing semi-structured interviews with mothers whose babies were between 18 months and 4 years of age. Results suggest that mothers are not currently singing to their infants, as has been suggested by previous studies conducted in Canada and in the USA, but use music from CDs and television. In this sense, early childhood music education programs are important for child development, especially in respect to the encouragement of maternal singing.
