摘要：In this article we discuss the topic of fluidity the concepts in the political thought of Machiavelli. The purpose is to demonstrate that the political realism of the author of “The Prince” was closely associated to the performance of some transpositions in the traditional scale of the political vices and virtues present in the literature mirrors for princes. This literature in the Machiavelli’s intellectual environment was still important reference since persisted establishing norms of behavior to Christian’s rulers. Against the moral redescriptions asserted by Machiavelli, we underline aspects of criticism directed to them by some moralists who reacted fiercely against their rhetorical strategies. I stress that these critical objections culminated in the thought of Thomas Hobbes in the middle of the 17 th Century.
