摘要：O aumento da diversidade organizacional tornou necessário mecanismos de mediação para os conflitos resultantes dessa heterogeneização da força de trabalho. A crescente participação da mão-de-obra feminina nas organizações insere-se nesse debate, acrescida do fato de que o tema das relações de gênero está presente na sociedade e abarca diversas áreas das ciências sociais. Este artigo procura desvendar as representações sociais construídas em torno da diversidade organizacional, associadas às relações de gênero em uma organização originalmente masculina: a Polícia Militar. Foi possível identificar algumas estruturas, políticas, práticas e discursos organizacionais que constroem e reforçam as assimetrias de gênero nessa organização.
其他摘要：The increasing organizational diversity has made it necessary to create mechanisms to mediate the conflicts that result from this heterogeneity of the labor force. The growth of female labor within the organizations, added to the fact that the gender relation issue is present in society and comprises several areas of the social sciences, is part of this debate. This paper tries to unveil the social representations that are built around the organizational diversity and are linked to gender relations in a originally male organization: the Military Police. It was possible to identify a few organizational structures, policies, practices and discourses that build and reinforce the gender asymmetries in that organization.
