其他摘要:the paper deals with the issue concerning the conflict among organizational areas, in particular between end-areas - responsible for accomplishing the mission of the company - and support areas.The authors discuss the several kinds of conflicts presented in literature about organizations, and identify both the causes that generate them and impasse mechanismos.They call special attention to the new proposal of organization, wich suggest a new design fot the so-called staff areas.They make some considerations based on the testimonies from officers of public institutions, in wich the issue of the means-institutions "reign"has been a conversial matter.They conclude offering suggestions on how to administer the organizational conflicts, emphasizing the participant management as one of the most effective ways.
