  • 摘要:Summary An attempt has been made to develop the microchannel of hydraulic diameter less than or equal to 0.5mm. These channels are fabricated using conventional milling machining process. In order to study the inlet configuration effect, two types of junctions such as T and Y are developed. These microchannels are developed on acrylic substrates of 300mm long and 30mm wide. The cross section of the channel is selected as non-circular (square). The aim behind to develop small diameter minichannel is for development of experimental set up on two phase flow through microsized channels. The cross section of fabricated microchannel is checked with Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM-S-3400N) and found nearest to desired dimension. The objective of this research is to find out an alternate technique for the fabrication of microchannel instead of complicated and costly techniques.
