摘要:Intercultural encounters experienced by artists that travel abroad are not always happy. In fact, they can produce a deep feeling of anguish and isolation. This is the subject of this article on Antonin Artaud's self-exile in Mexico in the 30's. The author discusses why the French poet and playwriter, who went to Mexico moved by the hope of descovering and working on a new reality, turned to be the "desdichado" who strolled alone and drugged along the streets of the city.
