摘要:Media¿s role in the construction of citizenship and in the access to justice by the low-income population has been important in recent studies about Brazil¿s democratic consolidation. This paper intends to show that wider dissemination of information does not necessarily lead to wider citizenship and access to justice for all social classes. There are limits to answering those demands because social, political and cultural conditions interfere in this process.
