摘要:This paper focuses on the special place of cosmopolitism in the context of the educational reform of the Brazilian capital between 1922 and 1935. Its discusses the relevance and applicability of foreign pedagogic concepts to the public policies of education developed by Antônio Carneiro Leão, Fernando de Azevedo and Anísio Teixeira in Rio de Janeiro. It suggests that these concepts were strongly modified at the moment of restructuring public instruction and asserts that the reform was a result of the way of using, appropriating and reconfiguring the school systems desired. Finally, the paper explores the possibilities that were opened, from the 20's on, of research financing, teachers exchange, translations and support to national institutions.
