摘要:This article intends to examine how the Globo TV series Cidade dos Homens (2003) represents the world of favela on the TV, mixing documentary and the adventures of two boys who live in this world. In a realistic perspective, the series focuses on themes offered by the media, but also by government policy designed for assuring citizens' rights. The form in which the episodes are presented is the dominant element for a discussion over the terms and the limits of the construction of such an issue by the entertainment industry.
