摘要：Este artigo parte da fotografia de um miliciano caindo feita por Robert Capa em 1936 para discutir o papel da fotografia na construção da história pública. É proposta uma análise em três etapas: a primeira, mais centrada nas características estéticas da foto, que a levaram a ser considerada um ícone; a segunda, em que ela é situada dentro de um âmbito mais amplo, o da imprensa de esquerda francesa, para a qual o fotógrafo trabalhava e que foi responsável por sua primeira aparição pública; e a terceira, que discute a relação entre a imagem fotográfica e seu papel no agenciamento de uma memória coletiva.
其他摘要：This article uses the photograph of a falling militiaman taken by Robert Capa in 1936 as a starting point to discuss the role of photography in the construction of a public history. A three steps analysis is proposed. The first step focuses on the aesthetic characteristics of the photo, which made it to be considered an icon. In the second one, a broader sense is considered, that of the French leftist press, for which the photographer worked and which was responsible for first publishing his pictures. The third one discusses the relation between photographic image and its role in the elaboration of a collective memory.
