摘要：Paul Tillich’s thought in respect to the relationship between religion and culture offers possibilities for a recent discussion among two catalytic and diffuse spheres at the same time: soccer (as "art") and religion, two phenomena that in the course of time became two national passions. Soccer carries, sometimes in a disguised form, parallels with the most varied elements of religion, as hymns, liturgy and devotion.↓O pensamento de Paul Tillich no que diz respeito a relação da religião com a cultura abre portas para uma recente discussão entre duas esferas catalisadoras e difusas ao mesmo tempo, o futebol (enquanto arte) e a religião, dois fenômenos que com o passar do tempo tornaram-se duas paixões nacionais. O Futebol traz consigo de uma forma sutil e às vezes disfarçada paralelos sobre os mais variados temas da religião, como hinos, liturgia e devoção.
