The notion of truth in Foucault leads the debate. This reflection centers on how journalism builds discursive strategies that produces effects of truth on its reports. The journalist discourse presents himself as truthful, although its constructive discourse of the world is a result of rules, practices and values. The debate of “truth” allow us to comprehend the complexity and particularities of journalism as a discursive practice that has reflection in the social knowledge of reality.
