摘要：This article aims at identifying the main fields of knowledge whose more systematic exploration might enrich the content of teacher training programs so as to better meet the challenge of ethnocultural pluralism. The fate of culture in the modern cultural matrix, the problematics of racism and of fighting its various manifestations, transcultural communication, equality of education opportunity and an opening on the world - those are the main fields that should be integrated into teacher training to make transcultural education a more substantial concept. RÉSUMÉ Cet article cherche à identifier les principaux champs de connaissance dont une exploration plus systématique permettrait d'enrichir le contenu de la formation des maîtres pour mieux faire face aux défis du pluralisme ethnoculturel. Le sort de la culture dans la matrice culturelle moderne, la problématique du racisme et de la lutte contre ses diverses manifestations, la communication interculturelle, l'égalité des chances en éducation et l'ouverture sur le monde: tels sont les principaux champs qu'ilfaudrait, selon lui, intégrer à laformation des maîtres si l'on veut donner un contenu plus substantiel à la notion d'éducation interculturelle.
