摘要：The huge volume of scientific work by Marañón includes a series of contributions on the subject of the ages of human life. From biological approaches to medical/social issues, such as eugenics, the author presents his individual vision of children defined according to a set of criteria grounded largely in his endocrinological theories. The weight of tradition from classical and Renaissance authors such as the Spaniard Huarte de San Juan, is present both as a historical reference framework and as a means of reflecting on current situations.
