摘要：It is becoming increasingly difficult to ignore the role played by Science and Technology in our daily lives. However, concerns have been raised by several studies about the gradual decrease in the scientific and technological choice of pupils during last years. It is interesting to note that in all these areas of secondary education, there is a fall of students. Specially, the single most striking observation to emerge from the data is the low reached by the scientific-technical, even the biomedical, choice of female pupils. In an attempt to improve the effectiveness of new policies in these contexts, this paper will examine the causes that influence the rejections of the adolescence to the scientific and technological studies. The aim of this paper is to trace how students understand and perceive not only the Science and Technology, and their professionals, but also the vocational and professional expectations of these areas. Specially, the purpose of this study is to address it from gender.
