摘要:Late medieval Galicia is basically a diglossic society where Galician is the commonly used idiom and some authorities and cultural and religious persons and institutions implement Latin and Spanish; Portuguese (or the southern Galegoportugues spoken and writen in Portugal) should be added to them in certain regions and environments. The possible connection between language and paleographical variants is briefly studied, taking as an example Santiago de Compostela cathedral archives, where writings were made and used in all these four languages.
