The recent discovery of the up to now Southernmost indigenous Lusitanian inscription is good news for the study of the Lusitanian language and, more generally, for the knowledge of the Indo- European languages of the Iberian Peninsula. This paper aims to offer a whole analysis of the text from the syntactic as well as the morphological and lexical points of view, and adds new evidence in support of the idea that Lusitanian is closely related to Latin and the rest of the italic languages.
