摘要:The past twenty five years have witnessed deep economical changes in several countries, oriented to promoting foreign investment along with a regional market integration. In Mexico, the structural reforms in some sectors, including the energy one, have been conducted in a delayed and partial fashion compared to other Latin American countries, affecting the electricity and natural-gas subsectors, and the market liberalization has not been concreted yet. As a result of the commercial agreements, the participation of US and Canadian capital stands out naturally above of that of other countries; however, as regards electricity generation and the exploration, exploitation, distribution and storage of natural gas, the investments of Spanish energy enterprises are particularly important, which in addition to modifying the geography of energy in Mexico, have consolidated their presence in Latin America.
