摘要：Based on the micro data from the Estadística de Variaciones Residenciales during the period 2001-2007, we analyze the demographic characteristics and distribution of internal migration of the population residing in Spain, distinguishing between those born in Spain and foreigners. Movements occur mostly in the male population of 25- 34 years. On the other hand, foreign-born population presents the highest rates of internal migration, although in recent years there has been a stabilization and even, in the case of Americans and Europeans, a decrease in their rates. Interior provinces, especially in the vicinity of Madrid, showed the highest volumes of both emigration and immigration.
