摘要：In the current times, when globalization placed in check the traditional cultural borders, there is no more complex conceptions in our society then the concept of community formed by a unique cultural source. In this text we want to find out some challenges that the confrontation of this concept brings to the sociology of religion in that context. To realize this task, our starting point are the following questions: with which concept of community are people operating their daily life? Is it possible to perceive in these conceptions some reference to religious practices and beliefs? What challenges the concept of community used by people places to the sociology of religion at the current moment?
