摘要：The present research is about the divorce between theology and spirituality in Western Christianity since the 12th century, which lasted until the 20th century. From then on, such disastrous rupture has been seriously questioned and denounced. The voices of some of the most important theologians of that century rise in defense of a new unity. However, even now, in the 21st century, theology is still in search of integrative paradigms, that is, a new romance between theology and spirituality.↓Este articulo es un resumen a respecto de nuestro trabajo de maestreado. En nuestra investigación hemos tratado acerca del divorcio entre la teología y la espiritualidad en el cristianismo occidental desde el siglo XII en delante, perdurando hasta el siglo XX. A partir de entonces, esa nefasta ruptura pasa a ser seriamente cuestionada y denunciada. Las voces de algunos de los más importantes teólogos hodiernos si erguen a favor de una nueva unidad. Todavía, la teología hoy, en pleno siglo XXI, aun se ve en busca de paradigmas integradores, de un nuevo romance entre teología y espiritualidad.
