摘要：The singularity of the theology of Hugo Assmann can be found in various aspects. This text points out three of these aspects: the incessant search for the “larger factor” in each moment of history, in order that theology can respond in the most adequate manner possible to the challenges of present times; the anguish of forming an ecumenical understanding of life and theology, in order that theological efforts are not captive to ecclesiastical “limits“; and the announcement, in resounding terms, that the Kingdom of Heaven is not limited to heaven, but goes beyond. For this reason, its helps to revitalize human projects that are excessively horizontal, and tend to become idolatrous. These three searches accompanied the theologian, and made it possible, in the long run of decades of scientific production, that new focuses are offered, new themes are accepted, and that a plural theological comprehension can be formulated and indicated.
