摘要：Normal 0 21 false false false PT-BR X-NONE X-NONE A utilização da acupuntura no ocidente aumentou a ponto de ser o método mais praticado dentre as terapias complementares. Com essa ocidentalização, surgiu uma nova linguagem. Esse novo modo de ver mudou a maneira como a técnica é pensada e alterou a forma de abordagem do paciente, acarretando em dois Estilos de Pensamento: Tradicional e Científico. Esse estudo tem como objetivo geral identificar os elementos que caracterizam Estilos de Pensamento nos profissionais com especialização em acupuntura. A metodologia da pesquisa consistiu numa abordagem qualitativa, através das categorias de Fleck (1986) aplicadas na análise de livros da acupuntura e entrevistas. A epistemologia de Fleck demonstrou a importância do contexto histórico para compreender os dois Estilos de Pensamento. Entretanto, o ponto mais importante foi o de perceber que a maioria dos acupunturistas atua sem um modelo fixo ou limites precisos, ou seja, transitantes, matizes entre um estilo e outro. ABSTRACT - The use of acupuncture on the west rose to the point of being the most practiced method among the complementary therapies. Along with this westernization, a new language appeared. This new way of looking at it changed the way the technique is thought through and also changed the patient approach, leading to two Thought Styles: Traditional and Scientific. This study has as its purpose to identify the characteristic elements of each Thought Style on the professionals specialized in acupuncture. The research methodology consisted in a qualitative approach, through Fleck’s (1986) categories applied in a analysis of acupuncture books and interviews. The Fleck’s epistemology showed the importance of the historical context when it comes to a better understanding of both Thought Styles.
