摘要:This research aims to know the profile of biology teacher of SMA Kota Metro and character of biology learning, furthermore the result of this research can be utilized as rationale, action, decision making and policy forward in education of biology of SMA Kota Metro and as need analyses for the further research. This research conducted with questionnaire entire to biology teacher of SMA Kota Metro and direct survey into class in public and private of SMA Kota Metro. The data of this research was analysed descriptively to express existing teacher profile and executed the character of biology learning. The result of this research indicate that biology teacher of SMA Kota Metro more predominated by women teacher, generally from S1 degree, age among 30-50 year old, living in Kota Metro and its surroundings, are starting to develop their pedagogy. The character of learning is still teacher centered, the teacher have not comprehend constructivism and paradigm of student centered. Based on this research, the teacher needed socialization, training, and furthermore research to increase the teacher’s understanding of constructivism and paradigm of student centered oriented in Kota Metro.
