摘要:Constructivist approach has been used in the teaching of science. This article discusses a possibility to apply the approach to the teaching of English as a foreign language, especially for the teaching of reading. The discussion in this article will be focused on the characteristics of the constructivist approach, the current practice of teaching reading in Indonesia, and a suggested model for teaching reading using the constructivist approach.
