摘要：A geoconservação é uma área de estudo bastante relevante no sentido de colaborar para a valorização e conservação dos elementos abióticos da natureza.Os recursos naturais tem sido alvo de um interesse econômico rela, mas a geoconsevação promovem a valorização da geodiversidade do ponto de vista científico, educativo, cultural, turístico, dentre outros.Este trabalho objetiva inventariar e caracterizar a região da foz do Rio Douro em Portugal, precisamente a faixa litorânea entre o Castelo do Queijo, a norte, e a praia de Salgueiros, a sul.Assim foram elencados seis geossítios na área de estudo, que mostraram-se relevantes no contexto regional e local, relacionados aos materiais de interesse geológico e geoformas.Consideramos que este trabalho fornece informações que valorizam o patrimônio geológico da região, a fim de orientar medidas concretas para a sua conservação.Além disso, a área de estudo monstrou-se um local interessante do ponto de vista educativo, constituindo um bom local para promover a educação para as geociências.
其他摘要：The geoconservation has concentrated on the conservation and enhancement of abiotic elements of
the nature. The natural resources have a real economic interest, but the geoconservation included
the relevance to the point of view scientific, educational, cultural, tourist and others. This study
aimed the inventorying and characterization of the geological heritage in the Douro river mouth
region, in Portugal, the coast line is delimited on the north by the “Castelo do Queijo” and the south
by the “Praia do Salgueiro”. This study identified 6 geosites. The characterization of these sites
reveals the diversity of landforms and geological features of local and regional relevance. We
consider that this study provides information to value a geological heritage it’s a support for
implementing to education. Moreover, revealed a good place to promote education in the
geosciences.
