  • 摘要:This research is part of a fieldwork and descriptive investigation, in which the analysis was conducted in order to describe, explain and publicize social motivations of the teachers in secundary, diversified and professional levelbelonging to the District school no.1, Libertador Municipality of Mérida, as well as inquire about the use, by teachers, of organizational development strategies (OD) . The population was composed of 786 teachers in 38 schools, of which 532 belong to diversified cycle and 254 to technical schools. For the selection of the sample was applied probabilistic method Simple Random without replacement, being conformed by 157 teachers from the same 38 institutions. Data collection was obtained from three instruments or inventories validatedby the Psychological Research Center of the Universidad de Los Andes and an opinion questionnaire composed by 25 items. This instrument was validated by expert judgers and reliability was determined by the application of Cronbach’s alpha statistical formula, obtaining a value of 0.926. Both methods were applied simultaneously in order to compare and analyze the results , being able to say that achievement motivation and affiliation have a stimulatory effect on the provision and effective use of organizational development strategies and a direct effect on organizational commitment, while working with other people is good for the organization because a team can achieve goals with less effort and in less time, while power motivation was in the background, as it is not a need felt of teachers.
