摘要：The debate over the risks of inflation and the perils of deflation has bee replaced by a new one, which focuses on the ways in which "policy" (i.e. either monetary or fiscal, and always aggregate) will save the (Western) world economies. Like the previous one, that had occupied macroeconomists, pundits and policymakers since the beginning of 2010, this also seems to prove only the sorry state in which contemporary macroeconomics has cornered itself.
