摘要：De acuerdo a los estudios climáticos recientes del informe Panel Intergubernamental sobre Cambio Climático (IPCC) muestran, que el calentamiento climático antropogénico global es una realidad. La importancia de este trabajo es que tanto los gobiernos de México como de Estados Unidos (E.U.) han hecho esfuerzos individuales e integradores para confrontar la situación sobre el medio ambiente, sin embargo el discurso político y la realidad difieren. Conforme pasa el tiempo, se vuelve más caótico el control ambiental en la frontera entre los dos países. La razón principal es que las dos partes no tienen la capacidad de alinear el desarrollo sustentable con el control de fuentes contaminantes que comprometen inversiones importantes de recursos económicos, frente a la peor crisis financiera mundial. En este trabajo se analiza el papel que ha jugado la diplomacia ambiental fronteriza entre los dos países frente al cambio climático antropogénico global. Concluyendo que a través de la revisión retrospectiva de los distintos acuerdos firmados entre las dos naciones, la importancia en el mundo de los estudios climáticos es cada vez más relevante y no solo el área tecnológica, económica o de las ciencias naturales están fuertemente interesadas en el avance de posibles soluciones, ya que el calentamiento global es parte de una problemática de negocios, mercadológica, política, humanística, de las ciencias sociales y por tanto, también de la diplomacia. Sin embargo en un país en vías de desarrollo como México se ve obligado a responder a otros problemas más inminentes, dejando soslayado el tema ambiental.Palabras clave Diplomacia, antropogénico, desarrollo.AbstractEnvironmental diplomacy between northern border states of Mexico and the United States.According to the recent climatic studies of the report Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) they show, that the global anthropogenic climate change is a reality. The importance of this work is that as much the governments of Mexico as the EU has delivered attacks individual and integrating to confront the situation on the environment, nevertheless the political speech and the reality differ. In agreement it spends the time, becomes more chaotic the environmental control in the border enter both countries. The main reason is that the two parts do not have the capacity to align the viable development with the control of polluting sources that jeopardize important investments of economic resources, against the worse world-wide financialcrisis. In this work the paper is analyzed that has played the border environmental diplomacy enters countries in front of the global anthropogenic climate change. Concluding that through the retrospective revision in the different agreements signed between the two nations. The importance in the world of the climate studies is not only the technological area, economic or of natural sciences strongly they are interested in the advance of possible solutions, since the global heating are part of a problematic of businesses, marketing, policy, humanistic, of social sciences and last but not least, the diplomacy. Nevertheless in an underdeveloped country as Mexico is forced to respond to other more imminent problems, leaving avoided the environmental subject.Key words Diplomacy, anthropogenic, development.
