摘要:This study aims to find out the significant correlation between the competence of economics teachers and the performance of economics teachers of state senior high-schools in Makassar. This study is correlational descriptive survey design using quantitative approach. The populations of this study are teachers of state senior high-schools in Makassar. The size of sample is based on sample table by Krejie and Morgan as quoted by Issac and Michael (1991). The proportional sample of the schools in Makassar are 92 respondents. The result of this study is the competence of economics teachers significantly correlated to the performance of economics teachers with strong category. This is due to the four competences: pedagogical, personal, social, and professional competences which are implemented.
