  • 摘要:The developmentof private television industry in Indonesia is increasinglyrapidly. It is characterized by the emergence of severalprivate television stations in addition Televisi RepublikIndonesia (TVRI). Competition among television stationsare not inevitable. The occurrence of such competitionrequires private television industry develop and implementconcrete strategies in the face. This study aims to examinehow a television station develop and implement strategiesin the face of this competition. For this case study inPT. Indosiar Visual Mandiri Tbk. done with the intentto obtain a detailed picture of the background, the natureand character of the typical how strategy is formulatedin the face of competition. The research method used isthe SWOT analysis which is then combined into a matrixconsisting of Strategy SWOT Strength Opportunities,Threaten Strength, Weakness Opportunities and WeaknessThreaten. The results showed that the strategy adoptedPT. Indosiar Visual Mandiri Tbk. include maintainingand developing excellent programs that have been andpotentially gained recognition from the audience, establishcooperation with advertising agencies to increase revenuethrough advertising, to establish cooperation with foreigntelevision stations and programs that apply technologybecomes more advanced than other similar industries, todevelop techniques and innovation in the form of programsthat have not generated impressions of other stations andcarry out social programs as a form of concern Indosiar onthe surrounding environment
