摘要:With current law enforcement trends police are being better prepared to prevent crimes of all types, but cannot always protect a large population of the people: children. Officers have new technology in the form of Tasers, M-14 rifles, in-car cameras, and other less-than-lethal force options; these are areas where officers are excelling. However, there is one place where officers struggle: formal interviews with child victims. Interview methods taught in the police society include: Kinesic, Scientific Content Analysis Technique (SCAN), and Reid most notably. However these interview schools address interviewing adult victims, witnesses, and suspects. A huge void exists in the law enforcement culture when it comes to interviewing child victims.
