摘要:Background Educational success demands trained learners who have the chance to benefit from fruitful curricula during their course of studies. Key elements of each education system are the decision-makers and administrators who have authority to support curricular decisions. Sources of evidence Research has shown that academic skills will positively impact educational, career and life skills. Purpose of the study and main argument In Iranian curriculum at medical and paramedical post graduate levels academic skills are not of a major concern. In this regard, presenting an academic skills course that can empower post-graduate students is a major step that leads to their educational and workplace success and can fill the existing gap. As a result, this study tries to shed light on this issue and to attract attention of those involved in teaching and learning contexts to necessity of empowerment of students through an academic skills course. Conclusion The researchers believe that to nourish our learners as life-long learners we need to equip them with academic skills through a fully developed course that can enrich the actual curriculums.
