摘要：Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has become a much-discussed subject in the present businessworld. CSR has become a pivotal issue to the corporate houses as business have to meet society’s expectations in their practices. Nowadays, businesses operate in an environment in which societal concerns have been given top priority. CSR can be seen as an obligation of the business world to be accountable to all of itsstakeholders – not just its financial one. An attempt has been made, in this paper to highlight some of the valuable social initiatives undertaken by the ONGC(Oil and Natural Gas Corporation) a leading Oil and gas PSU operating in Assam.
