摘要：La doctora Karen Danielson, conocida como Karen Horney, fue una psiquiatra con una gran capacidad intelectual, que se atrevió a romper con la teoría psicoanalítica de Freud. Consiguió crear una de las mejores teorías sobre la neurosis, dando especial relevancia al estudio de la psicología femenina y a la influencia de los aspectos culturales durante la primera mitad del siglo XX, cuando todavía las mujeres estaban despertando del letargo social al que habían sido sometidas por la cultura machista.
