  • 摘要:In the constitution of knowledge, the functional dimension (to know how to do) and the structural dimension (to understand) complement each other. The combination of these two dimensions allows for a more encompassing analysis of the intellectual product and process of subjects in a problem solving situation. Studies conducted by Mantoan (1995), Miskulin (1994) and Martins (1994) analyze the cognitive microdevelopments of subjects carrying out activities involving concepts of plane and spatial geometry and music composing. Excerpts from these studies are presented to demonstrate the functional aspects of the intelligence and the interrelation of the axiological, theological and logical aspects of knowledge into action and of the action into knowledge. The Open Teaching Systems are indicated as educational contexts appropriate to analyze the cognoscent subject microgenetically.
