摘要：Trabalho enviado em 24 de fevereiro de 2014.Aprovado em 13 de março de 2013.Resumo : O presente artigo busca analisar a relação entre as construções teóricas de Nancy Fraser acerca do reconhecimento, com os aspectos gerais do novo modelo de Estado Plurinacional surgido na América Latina.Para tanto, analisaremos a concepção bidimensional de justiça social em Nancy Fraser, sua visão acerca da política do reconhecimento e os problemas que o Estado Moderno Nacional, enquanto instituição reguladora da vida em sociedade, apresenta na busca pela efetivação dessa justiça social.Após, verificaremos, a partir do Modelo Plurinacional de Estado, a possibilidade de se alcançar respostas satisfatórias aos problemas do Estado Moderno Nacional apontados por Nancy Fraser, descrevendo, assim, como o presente se configura num reflexo do passado, ou seja, a identidade nacional do Estado Nacional ainda está presente no contexto periférico latino americano.Assim, a partir do novo Estado Plurinacional latino americano pode-se perceber uma nova visão de Estado, que poderá romper com os grilhões do Estado Nacional, rumo a uma justiça social efetiva, onde redistribuição e reconhecimento sejam vistos como faces de uma mesma moeda.

from the Plurinational State model , the possibility of achieving satisfactory answers to the problems of the Modern
National State appointed by Nancy Fraser , describing as well, as this is configured in a reflection of the past, ie ,
national identity the national state is still present in the Latin American context peripheral. Thus, from the new
Plurinational State hispanic can realize a new vision of the state, which can break the shackles of the National State ,
towards effective social justice, where redistribution and recognition are viewed as two sides of the same coin.
