  • 摘要:This purpose of this brief paper is to provide thosenew to problem-based learning with a summary of thekey findings of research conducted into the beliefs andpractices of tutors who facilitator this approach tolearning. Although findings from the research do differthere are many areas of agreement. There is generalconsensus that effective problem-based learning tutorsknow their subject content and are able to communicatetheir knowledge in ways that students can comprehend;that they are able to judge when and to what extent tointervene in student learning; and enter the learningenvironment with an intent for students to develop anunderstanding of knowledge rather than simply acquireit. Findings from research also suggest that to becomean effective tutor takes time and requires support in theform of professional development.
