摘要：The integration of Design for Environment (DfE) into the Product Development Process (PDP) leads to some additional organizational and engineering complexities, which must be managed successfully. This paper provides an integrated approach, to support designers in implementing DfE activities effectively. The organizational aspects of the approach are expressed in terms of slight changes in the PDP structure to deliver updated specific information, and to streamline the communication between proponents and executors of DfE. While the engineering aspects of the approach are expressed in terms of a generic methodology to describe, model, and solve the DfE problems. An example from electronic industry is introduced to highlight the applicability of the suggested approach in its engineering aspects.
