摘要：In the last decades the environmental subjects have been waking up a growing concern in all the segments of the society, considering the problems provoked by the intense urbanization process and exploration of the natural resources. The Public Power has been implementing environmental politics with the purpose of facing these problems, through the creation of technician-administrative and legal infrastructure, as well as execution of projects and specific programs in this area. In this work the process of implantation of the environmental politics is analyzed by the municipal district of Uberlândia in the last decades, with prominence to the performance of the Environment Department and of the legal apparatus elaborated in elapsing of this period.
