  • 摘要:This research work describes an estimate of usefulness of Microsoft Kinect Sensor in plant health monitoring. Dataset of plants with different colors, depending upon the liveness, is collected with the help of Kinect. Both, RGB and IR images are taken separately through Kinect. For the purpose of further processing both types of images are transformed to same frame of reference. Normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI) is calculated by using the values of near-infrared (NIR) pixels and red pixels. An NIR camera is used as a standard to compare the results obtained from Kinect. The results are then used to check the effectiveness of Kinect in plant health monitoring.
