摘要:Abstract The present study examined the differences in sensory perception and verbal memory within personality types. 320 students (age range 20-25) participated in study. The Framingham and Bortner Personality Type Scale were administered. Sixty students were chosen based on their scores in this personality type scale. Some tests were administered to the sixty students in order to test the hypotheses about the differences of perception accuracy, the differences in speed and time of response, and also the differences of level and type of word recall between personality types A and B. The results of Chi-square Test and T-test showed that, in general, Type A individuals responded with higher speed and higher number of errors in the accuracy test .also, in the memory test, Type A individual recalled a greater number of words. However, Type B individuals responded with lower speed, had a lower number of errors and higher accuracy, and recalled a smaller number of words. Therefore, it can be concluded that personality characteristics in individuals have an influence on cognitive perception, and individuals with different types differ in perception and memory.
