摘要：Abstract A recent UK study identified that 11.5% of 11 – 16 year olds had a mental health disorder. A one-stage survey students in Manchester attending Key Stage 4 Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) sites was conducted as part of a larger study. The Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire (SDQ) was accompanied by questions to collect demographic data and ascertain which services are wanted by parents and teachers. Mental health needs were higher in the PRU than the mainstream sample. These results pose implications for commissioning of child and adolescent mental health services and initiatives such as the Targeted Mental Health in Schools Project (TaMHS).
