Stansell that had already appeared on the website of the University of Illinois (http://mste.illinois.edu/courses/ci407su02/students/stansell/jon_stansell_The_Use_of_Music_in_Learning_Languages.pdf) and also of a paper by Mark Huy Le that appeared in the online Proceedings of the AARE Annual conference (1999) Code of paper: LE99034 (www.aare.edu.au/data/publications/1999/le99034.pdf). One of the conditions of submission of a paper for publication is that authors declare explicitly that their work is original and has not appeared in a publication elsewhere. Re-use of any data should be appropriately cited. As such this article represents a severe abuse of the scientific publishing system. The scientific community takes a very strong view on this matter and apologies are offered to readers of the journal that this was not detected during the submission process.
