摘要：Distintos factores contribuyeron a la integración de un grupo de poder en el pueblo de Xalapa de la Feria, grupo que constituyó el antecedente de la oligarquía xalapeña decimonónica. Los periódicos eventos mercantiles, asociados a la llegada de las flotas, auspiciaron, sobre todo en la segunda mitad del siglo XVIII, el paulatino establecimiento de comerciantes españoles vinculados al comercio ultramarino en el puerto de Veracruz y la plaza xalapeña. Dichos individuos, practicantes del comercio exterior, comisionistas y consignatarios de los grandes mercaderes de los Consulados de Cádiz y de México, comenzaron a utilizar capital comercial en la habilitación de la explotación agrícola regional, además de interesarse en la compraventa de bienes urbanos y rurales, y en otro tipo de actividades como el arrendamiento de alcabalas en pueblos ubicados en las cercanías de Xalapa, mostrando así una tendencia al asentamiento permanente en la Nueva España
其他摘要：Various factors led to the integration of a power group in the town of Xalapa de la Feria. Such group would eventually become the seed for the nineteenth century Xalapan oligarchy. The periodic mercantile events, together with the arrival of fleets, resulted in the gradual establishment of Spanish merchants linked to the overseas trade in the port of Veracruz and Xalapa. These people, commission agents and consignees of the important dealers of the Consulates of Cadiz and Mexico, invested their capital in the local agriculture. At the same time, they became interested in the real estate business among other activities such as the leasing of excise taxes in the towns located near Xalapa. With this kind of activity these people showed their interest in a permanent stay in New Spain.
