标题：Le esternalità ambientali dovute all’irrigazione: un caso di studio riferito alla valutazione economica della salinizzazione delle acque di falda in ambienti mediterranei
摘要：The use of water irrigation produces externalities both positive and negative. One of the problems related to irrigation is the salinization of groundwater caused by the non-sustainable use of this resource. The aim of the research is to evaluate the economics loss of benefits due to the over-use of groundwater in a Mediterranean Area (the province of Foggia, in southern Italy). The value of the externality is measured in term of the difference of the gross margins referred to sustainable water management and the over over-use of groundwater. The analysis was developed through a Mathematics Programming model. According to our findings the cost of externality is quite relevant and could be used as a term of reference tointroduce an eventual environmental tax.
