摘要:This study aimed to analyze the journey of the graduation courses of Physical Education in Brazil in period between the years from 2000 to 2006, considering the academic organization, geographic region and number of beginners and concluders. In the development of the study it was used data from College Educational Cense INEP/MEC, spread in 2008. The results showed that in 2006 there were 746 courses, 63,3% offered by particular institutions. In the initial years of the twenty-first century it was observed that the offer of teaching courses still predominates in the area, however there is an increase of the number of courses of bachelor, mainly in the particular ones, as well as the vulnerability for balance in the number of concluders in both courses. In general, it was noticed that the initial formation in Physical Education has been through constant changes, coming from generalist formation to specific formation, turning capable the professional to occupy different places for intervention in the professional market.
