摘要:The correct assessment of maximum oxygen consumption is one of the best indicators of cardiorespiratory condition and an important measure of associated morbidity. This literature review aimed to identify how the maximum oxygen consumption in obese, may be influenced by excess body fat, and method that the ergometer VO2max is expressed. It has been observed in recent studies, which compared the VO2max of obese individuals and non-obese using different ergometers and a new method for correcting the VO2max allometric scale. It is important that physical educators have access to this information to plan the strategies in their practice adequately assessing their students.
